Full Version: Time Lapse?

I looked around on google and other forums but i couldnt really find a good answer on how to do a time lapse with a dslr. i just got a canon rebel xsi and im looking to do some cool time lapses to throw into my videos.

If anyone knows anything on how to go about it that would be sweet. thanks

you need an intervalometer to fit Canon digi SLRs. then set the interval to about 3 seconds or whatever depending on how long a lapse you want. Then import the files into Motion as a single clip, then export it and bring it into final cut and do any panning or zooming you want to do.

Get nikon Camera control 2. Worked really well.

Oh wait i dont know if it works for canon but anyways if you have a laptop, it just hooks up to that and set everything. or you can buy a intervalometer like stewart said

D300 has it built into the camera, i had to do one for my course.

time to step up to new camera ; )

yeah i just found something online so i can program my graphing calculator to become an intervalmeter and took it up to my camera. pretty sick
