im thinking about getting a dslr and dont want to spend that much $$$$$. was looking at the d40 cus it was pretty cheap compared to others. i was looking on bhphoto and there was one for 450 with a kit lens. and then i saw there was a d60 with a vr kit lens for 550. and was just wondering if it made sense to pay the extra hundred and if it was that better of a camera. or if anyone has any cameras they want to sell

it just depends on what your using it for, is .5 frames per second shooting gonna make a difference for you? are you going to be printing your pictures? if so for what purpose? how stoked are you about an "integrated dust reduction system"? just look at the features and decide whats more important to you

If you just starting out get the cheaper body, use the left over cash on flashes, lens, bag ect.

neither, second hand D70s with a 50mm.

as much as you want sequences right now, you dont need/can justify or afford a camera that can do these well.
