assuming your using a digital slr: the tokina will be much much wider. although i did use the nikon zenitar 16mm on my nikon d2h and it didnt look bad. but those were the days when the zenitar 16mm was only 80 bucks, i heard their a lot more now.

basically if you have the money go with the tokina, but if you dont the zenitar isnt a bad option.

I have the zenitar 16mm on my nikon. Its ok.....works great if there is a lot of light. You need to have you aperture almost almost closed unless everything will appear fuzzy. Yea my friend gave me this lens and said when he got it it was less that 100 bucks. But now they are more like 250ish. Overall it is great in some situations...check out my flickr account in my signature.

Try this out. It compares the zenitar 16mm to the nikon 10.5mm (which by many is considered the best fisheye made for photography however its not for cannons)

get the tokina(canon) or nikon
dont waste money on the zenitar
its a shit lens
and it wont even be fishy unless you own a pro full frame nikon or canon body
