alright so amazon has the d200 for 799 dollars. what im wondering is if the D300 is really worth the extra 700 dollars? please help me with this tough decision.

Absolutely it is. The noise on the D200 is ridiculous compared to the D300.

Get the D300.

buy the body only. that lens is useless.

yeah i know especially since i already have an 18-55 and a 55-200 so it would be pointless.
