I really want to buy some radio slaves for my camera, but i have no idea what to get, I have a canon AE-1. can someone please help me out because i dont know anything about slaves.

do i need a certain kind of flash, so it can be triggered by the slave?

Get Pws straight up. One for the Camera ( goes in hot shoe) other on flash. Typical PC port, but if your flash dose not have a PC port they make other cables to attach the PW to the flash/strobe.

pw's are amazing.. just remember that your camera can't use a flash past 1/60th of a sec shutter so you will only be doing night time shots with that

theres always ebay slaves, but i personally dont think its worth the misfires, and the possibilities/reliability with the pocketwizards are so ballin

Theres also skyports, I've heard a lot of good things about them. They just don't have as great of range as pw's.

CyberSyncs. Same deal as the Skyports, reliable, just less range.
