I thought about getting pocket wizards first, but I dont shoot much skating, so I decided that I would enjoy a hassy more. Pocket wizards will be the next thing I save for though, and hopefully if I have some money leftover from the bag and hasselblad, I can sell some stuff and get them.

ghetto sync cables made from extension cords
haha rad. how?
vinny a
Mar 27 2008, 08:45 PM
Since the sunpak 555 uses the HH connectors which are basically just 2 prong eletrical plugs all you need to to (providing you have the pc to hh or hot shoe to hh cord) is plug the pc or hotshoe to hh in one end of the extension cord, then you need to trim down the the widht of the prongs with some shears because they are too wide. When thats done just plug the trimmed end into the flash and your good to go. It also works with any other flashes that use the HH connector.
Sorry if thats really confusing I can take pics to explain.
kingkezz
Mar 27 2008, 08:51 PM
...I'll just buy some cables haha.
vinny a
Mar 27 2008, 09:39 PM
Hahaha if you have a flash that uses the HH connector its actually insanely simple. The only part that is somewhat difficult is trimming the prongs but its only hard because it requires alot of force.
